11.11.2024 Two ambassadors for the Landesgartenschau 2025 in Furth im Wald are traveling by rail

Great events lie ahead! Since the weekend, the Furth im Wald Landesgartenschau has two mobile ambassadors traveling by rail to promote the upcoming 2025 exhibition. Decorated with motifs from the "Dragon City" and under the motto "Experience a legendary adventure!" a Regio-Shuttle from oberpfalzbahn now operates on the RB 27 line between Schwandorf and Furth im Wald. In line with the regional significance of the exhibition and the international appeal of the border city Furth im Wald, an alex locomotive is also promoting the events surrounding the Landesgartenschau 2025 on the RE 25 line between Munich and Prague.

"We are proud of our partnership with the Landesgartenschau 2025 in Furth im Wald," emphasizes Eugen Rubinstein, Managing Director of Länderbahn, which operates regional rail transport in Bavaria through oberpfalzbahn, alex, and waldbahn. "Next year, when hundreds of thousands of visitors from Germany and abroad come to experience the legendary nature of the Upper Palatinate, we see ourselves as a sustainable mobility partner for this regionally significant exhibition. We want to contribute today to extending the invitation to the beautiful Dragon City in both Bavaria and the Czech Republic."

Claudia Knoll, Managing Director of the Furth Landesgartenschau 2025, explains about the two promotional trains: "The dragon, the city's greatest ambassador, is riding for Furth im Wald and the Landesgartenschau 2025 next year! Every day, the colorfully wrapped trains run on the Furth im Wald-Schwandorf route and with the alex between Munich and Prague: this helps draw attention to next year's big event both in the region and to our Czech neighbors. The Landesgartenschau 2025 will take place from May 22 to October 5, 2025. With new green spaces, diverse events, and activities, it promises to be a major attraction for the region and beyond.
