With alex on a city tour to Furth im Wald

Furth im Wald

Where the dragon lives

Not far from the Czech border, you can experience a charming small-town atmosphere full of history. Nestled in the heart of the Bavarian Forest, Furth is surrounded by picturesque mountains, making it an attractive starting point for hikes. But beware: a gigantic, fire-breathing dragon calls this place home! The world’s largest four-legged walking robot is one of the city’s main attractions.

A legendary experience

What a sea of flowers: From May 22 to October 5, Furth will host this year’s State Garden Show. Over 137 days, there is an incredible amount to experience: concerts, sports activities, dance and theater, inspiring lectures, and so much more – with 3,000 events, there’s something for everyone. Young visitors will surely enjoy the playground emerging from a dragon's egg.

Dragon Cave
